The memento size, offers a unique opportunity for buyers as their work is already very collectable. This exhibition is as diverse as the range of artists involved. Here is an example :-

S. Daluz post on fb - I think I'm gonna call this one done. With the exception of the background, I used only transparent, Rembrandt Oil colors for the work (by Royal Talens) applied with Rosemary Brushes. For my "Mystica" exhibition this December at An Arte Gallery in San Antonio. "Emergence"; oil, metal leaf on composite aluminum panel; 40" x 30"; © 2016; S. DaLuz. OK, if you like this piece but can't afford it (after all, it's $1.3 million) ;), you can bid on the small 6" x 4" study I did of this work which is on the way to Australia right now to help raise $ for Cancer Research - you will be able to BID for the study thru Magpie Springs - Gallery.Cellar Door.Vineyard, who will be having an online auction during the show....Its in November... If you LIKE the pagehttps://www.facebook.com/MagpieSpringsWinery/?hc_location=ufi it will be released soon how you will be able to OWN the 6" x 4" version...and help raise $ for Cancer Research too. (I am donating 100%).

Some found the small scale challenging at first. Others like Gregory Becker (USA) and Queensland artist Marion Hughes (Aust) were inspired to produce more small works. Steven DaLuz (USA) and Lorna Allen (NZ) created major works based on these  4" x 6 "submissions.

Avril Thomas said, “Some of these artists, I’ve had regular contact with for up to 9 years on fb. Being an artist is a solitary persuit. To have support from others who have face similar experiences or challenges forms a bond an understanding. It becomes personal! Some have come to visit, from UK, USA and Canada. Some I have exhibited with interstate, in various National exhibitions.  For some I only dreamed of seeing their work properly. Now these generous wonderful artists are, have sent their work to us in South Australia and Magpie Springs! It’s quite extraordinary moving!!"

Magpie Springs is one of the oldest Adelaide Hills Wine Region Vineyards Its 80 acres is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges. It is an exlectic property with our home, Cellar door, Gallery various shedding and an established acre garden surrounded by vines.

Rosa Fedele shows off her work in this clip

This exhibition is deeply personal for many of the artists. Many are either Cancer survivers themselves or have  family members directly in the firing line right now, or have had friends or family who have lost the battle. One artist joined our group has painted her work between being diagnosed and her major surgery.Effective and lasting treatments for cancers would help so many! There one way to make this happen CANCER RESEARCH!!! Help us make a very real difference!!!
